We are currently looking for a friendly, dependable Referral Coordinator to join our team!

Responsible for providing exceptional customer service as the first contact for a patient referral & last contact for customers in office visit. Assist patients as they leave their visits to set up follow up appointments and/or outgoing referrals for testing or additional specialists visits. Handles busy phone volume of patient calls, appointment scheduling, & incoming referrals. Performs daily reconciliations by collecting patient payments for supplies, posting payments, etc.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS : Includes, but not be limited to the following:

  • Manages eCW EMR incoming referrals & facilitates patient appointments in a timely manner distributing equally among the providers.
  • Maintain an open and collaborative relationship with clinics and departments to facilitate seamless referral process.
  • Answers all incoming telephone requests and correspondence/letters accurately to ensure timely resolution.
  • Manages and organize document scanning to ensure proper patient identification on each document & upload to correct patient charts.
  • Collaborates with physicians on the scheduling of testing & follow up visits.
  • Prepares patient eCW charts timely and accurately during referral process.
  • Coordinates & ensures that all appropriate patient documentation goes with outgoing referrals.
  • Answers phones, retrieves voicemail messages and returns calls timely and appropriately.
  • Covers front desk duties as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Office skills obtained through applicable job experience and/or appropriate education
  • Strong sense of professionalism
  • Ability to organize work according to priorities
  • Ability to complete projects in a timely and accurate manner while working against specific deadlines
  • Ability to carry out special assignments with minimal supervision
  • Maturity and tact in dealing with patients, clients and co-workers
  • Effective communication with patients, referring physician offices, and co-workers
  • Dependability

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $13.00 per hour
